Story: Problem: Chronic Diarrhea The owner contacted me through a mutual friend desperate for some help for her new filly suffering from chronic diarrhea. The vet prescribed penicillin, but five days had passed and the owner did not feel the filly was recovering fast enough. This is when I was contacted. After the consultation the oil of choice was Roman Chamomile. When I arrived to give the oil to the baby she was lying down in her stall curled up into a tight little ball. I calmly approached the baby, gently introduced myself and when I felt she accepted my presence I showed her the oil. She immediately sniffed it. I then put a small amount into the palm of my hand and showed it to her. She sniffed my hand and just held her nose over the palm of my hand for about 5 minutes. I then proceeded to apply some to her poll and to some acupressure points that deal with the Stomach Meridian and the Conceptual Vessel Meridian. After this I stepped back to see if the filly wanted anything else done with her. She immediately stretched and jumped up. She then proceeded to nurse from her mother and eat hay. She also was acting a little frisky. Her owners were delighted, saying she hadn't acted like that for the past week while she was sick. A few days later I called to check on the filly. The owner reported she was doing great and out to pasture. The owner said she mildly sniffed the oil for two days and then was finished with it. On a side note, the mother was also interested in the oil for two days. I advised they let her sniff it and if she showed a keen interest to apply it to her forehead and poll.
Tommy's Story: Problem: General imbalances, suffered from colic three weeks prior to the consultation, a resolved skin condition and intermittent lameness. Tommy's owner felt her horse was not responding very well to her and she had a feeling that he may be out of sorts in some way. The oils that were chosen to help re-balance Tommy were: After 10 days, the owner reported that Tommy's level of energy and activity had increased. She felt he had a very positive response to the oils and that Tommy seems to feel better all around. The owner also reported that she feels more connected to him.
